Announcement on Lifting Visa Requirements for Indonesian Citizens Travelling to Turkey

Cakarta Büyükelçiliği 29.12.2021

In view of the brotherly relations dating back centuries in history between the Turkish and Indonesian peoples, as well as the strategic partnership between our countries, Turkey has decided to lift the visa requirement for the Indonesian citizens travelling to Turkey.

The said decision is based on the Presidential Decree No. 4930 issued on 22 December 2021 in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Turkey.

Accordingly, Indonesian ordinary passport holders are exempted from the visa requirement for their travels to Turkey for touristic and transit purposes for up to 30 days stay in Turkey.

We believe that this cordial step taken by Turkey will boost the existing brotherly ties between our countries, and will help promote people-to-people contacts and business ties.

The new visa-free travel regulation came into effect as of 24 December 2021.
